5th Grade
Group Sessions

Built for the next class up.

GuardFam is running group training sessions for 5th graders. Same coaching standard as the 4th grade team, in a group format focused on skill development and competition against players their own age.

The sessions

What a 5th grade session looks like

Group sessions are structured, coached and competitive. Players work skills together, then put them to use against each other.

SKILL

Skill Work

Ball handling, shooting, finishing and footwork, taught in detail and repeated until it holds up at game speed.

COMPETE

Competition

Live one-on-one, two-on-two and small-sided games so the skills get tested against 5th graders, not cones.

GROUP

Group Format

Train alongside players your own age. Compete, push each other and build the habits that carry into a team season.

Who it is for

Fifth graders who want to get better

  • Players who want more reps. Extra coached gym time on top of school or league play.
  • Players preparing for a team. Get ready for travel or league tryouts with structured skill work and competition.
  • Players who like to compete. Every session ends with live play against other 5th graders.
  • Families who value coaching. Discipline, development, teamwork and motivation, the same four pillars as the GuardFam Elite team.
